We have been there since July 2019 and continue to provide the service.
We provide Catering Consultancy providing the Chef Manager and 2 Catering Assistants.
We were asked to review the service as the staffing model needed to change due to the issues they were having.
he menus needed to be overhauled as they were very limited in the amount of fruit and vegetables being provided each day. This service provides the main dietary intake for many of the clients each day and the menu did not provide all the food groups or enough variety or good quality ingredients to maximise the nutritional intake they receive from this meal. Therefore, we needed to introduce new ingredients, tastes, and flavours to achieve this whilst ensuring the meals were still enjoyed by the service users
We have worked with the client on the menu choices available on the menu each day and using the feedback they get from the service users.
We have put on healthy choices and significantly increased the uptake as well as the amount of fruit and vegetables they get from their meal. They are really enjoying the meal service and the uptake of the meals has increased hugely since taking over the catering.
The staff work well as a team and interact with the service users to help them with their meal choices.
